Nutrient Descriptions
Our bodies are a fearfully and wonderfully made complexity of trillions of cells that perform as a result of the nutrients that were designed to keep them functioning. A small depletion or excess can have profound effects.
Here are a sample of some of the amazing nutrients and their benefits provided through infusion or injection.
While this is not an exhaustive list of available nutrients for infusion or injection, it is a sample of some of my favorite possible alternatives to prescription medication that our bodies thrive on.
Vitamin C
This is perhaps the most studied nutrient in the past 30 years that has continued to keep healthcare practitioners on all ends of the spectrum on their toes. While it has differing affects on specific cancers and their stages, it is a known and potent killer of cancer cells. We call this cytotoxic. While it has a cytotoxicity to cancer cells, it has the remarkable ability to leave healthy surrounding cells intact. It is a powerful antioxidant and free radical killer, which are the precursers to developing cancer and other unhealthy cellular activity. If remission is not achieved, it is undoubtedly recognized as promoting longevity and quality of life in cancer patients. It is given in high doses worldwide to burn victims due to its direct ability to promote collagen and other connective tissue formation, thus wound healing. It is our bodies most powerful immune booster and directly involves our white blood cells in their process of fighting viral, bacterial, and fungal infections. It has become an anti-aging staple as it is essential for the production of collagen that is depleted as we age and that causes our skin to sag, lack it's luster, and become wrinkled.
Glutathione
Glutathione is a combination of 3 amino acids; glyceine, cysteine, and glutamic acid. It is the most potent anti-cancer agent our bodies produce, a powerful anti-inflammatory, and heavy metal detoxifier that begins to deplete as early as our mid-twenties. Inflammation is the the root cause of practically all of our acute illnesses, and prolonged inflammation is linked to practically every chronic disease from auto- immune disorders to cancer. This peptide has become the world-renowned anti-aging powerhouse as it works directly with Vitamin C for the production of collagen and other soft tissue formation for beautiful skin that appears to transcend time. It is used all over the world as a skin whitener and brightener, and dark spot remover as it reduces melanin formation from sun exposure and aging. It's detoxifying effects are so powerful, it is known to prevent and even reverse alcohol related liver damage, as well as fatty liver, cirrhosis, and hepatitis.
M-I-C+B
Methionine, Inositol, and choline are vitamin like substances that aid the liver and gallbladder in speeding up fat metabolism. This process and the nutrients needed are decreased as we age which is why we tend to have weight gain and increased fat stores. These substances particularly help target hard to reach areas in the stomach, thighs, hips, buttocks, and upper-arms. 1000mcg of B12 aids in boosting metabolism in general and increasing energy to top off the whole process!
B Complex
B vitamins play an important role in our overall health and wellness. They are responsible for breaking down carbohydrates to keep our metabolism going and thus giving us energy. B's are essential for brain function and nerve protection, and deficiencies are linked to Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's like symptoms, and benign tremor. Inadequate B vitamins are also linked to melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer.
Amino Acids
Amino Acids are the building blocks of proteins, and are responsible for building and repairing soft tissue and muscle, as well as aiding in the production of hormones and neurotransmitters. They are an amazing addition for any athlete as they help the body build back and repair damaged tissue like muscle, tendons, and ligaments, from strenuous workouts and heavy weight lifting.
