In addition to thoroughly believing in the health benefits of IV nutritional therapy, my knowledge and experience, and the customization I offer, perhaps most important is my belief in the fact that people are empowered in their own environments and my passion to keep that intact. After my work as an RN in the hospital setting, I went to work as a case manager for very sick folks and my job was to keep them out of the hospital. What I realized, was regardless of any illness, and most were chronic and lifelong, people thrived in their homes. I saw first hand the difference it made and it gave me a new outlook on healthcare in general. We are simply more relaxed in familiar environments; our bodies heal and promote better health in a state of relaxation than a state of stress. Lastly, and perhaps the catalyst for taking the IV nutritional therapy mobile, was an experience a sweet young friend of mine shared with me when receiving IV's in the typical "IV lounge" setting for a very real illness. She described walking into an appointment, feeling horribly...her body in an obvious state of sickness and imbalance. In that state, she was met by a room full of giggling and rambunctious gals revelling in the events of the prior evenings' bachelorette party....presumably awaiting their hangover remedy. She described how much it magnified her own physical abnormalities, reminded her of the weight of her illness, and moments she had lost as a result. She said she felt undignified in her condition, and real or not, that the whole world knew it. She told me I had to find a way to not allow that to happen in my practice. I set out to find that solution and I believe I have. After all, we all have different reasons for IV therapy and that should remain private, personal, and dignified.
